Acknowledgement of tests for airsports devices carried out by the French Association FFVL

The German ministry for transport and digital infrastructure BMVI confirms the acknowledgement of tests for airsports devices carried out by the French Association FFVL.

In the letter of 02 June 2015 by the BMVI  it says:

„...I have explained the legal and technical backgrounds of § 11 chapter 4 of the German regulation for testing aviation equipment ( LuftGerPV ) regarding the validity of foreign certificates or type test certificates in Germany already in my letters of 15 Jan 2015 and 04 Feb 2015.
In addition to the previously mentioned certificates for paramotor wings, you now have presented a proof that also paraglider tests in France are carried out by a test laboratory which is recognized by an official regulatory body of the government.
Thus the conclusion is that this regulation is also applicable for paragliders. A certificate stating that a device is identical with a type tested sample which has successfully been tested by the recognized body ( AEROTEST ) is replacing the in Germany required type test following § 11 chapter 1 LuftGerPV .“
